Forgotten in time and to the general public, N292US is living out her days as one of the few remaining Northwest Airlines aircraft still in the paint. 2292 is also one of two remaining Northwest 727’s still in exitance. This aircraft, along with the fleet of 727s Northwest flew was once the backbone of not only NWA, but all major US Airlines back in the day. This aircraft is special to me, because I have flown on this very aircraft back in May of 2000. A photo was taken of me in the cockpit, and 24 years later to my astonishment she was still in existence. I contacted the owner, and we worked out a time to see it up close and recreate a photo I never thought would be possible. The aircraft’s interior is still well preserved as well. Take a step back to into the 1990’s and see what it was like.
